Against the Spread 2009 – Preseason Edition

Back for another year, Against the Spread has decided to change with the times; much like Penn State football. More information is below and check back every Wednesday all season long for leaderboard updates.

Last year, three of my friends and myself competed in a weekly prediction poll in which we would guess overall winner and betting line winners of ten college and five professional football games every week. At the end (or a few weeks before the end, whichever came first) of the year, Derek was the leader in the clubhouse, which technically makes him the defending champion of our “Against the Spread” contest.

This year, we have changed format. Gone are the professional games and the points spreads. Also gone is the favorite team-flavor that had us picking every Penn State, Michigan and Notre Dame game last season. Instead, we have replaced manual calculation with electronically-enhanced real-time scoring.
