Last night, the Phillies won their first championship since 1980. Words can’t describe the feeling that I had last night. I probably wasn’t alone. The feeling mounts and mounts for months and months, and finally everything that we wanted all year, all of our lives for some, we got with one last Brad Lidge slider.
So while Ryan Howard, Jimmy Rollins, Pat Burrell, Jamie Moyer, Cole Hamels, Chase Utley, Shane Victorino, Brett Myers, Joe Blanton, J.C. Romero, Jayson Werth, Greg Dobbs, Matt Stairs, Geoff Jenkins, Ryan Madson, Scott Eyre, Chad Durbin and Charlie Manuel will all get rings, but everyone wearing the “P” feels like a champion today.

The tarp covers the field at Citizens Bank Park after the suspension of Game 5 of the World Series last night
We’re not really sure what the hell is going on with the weather. It’s October 28th and some parts of Pennsylvania have half a foot of snow that is not of the Lake Effect variety. All we know is, for about 22-½ hours, the Phillies and Rays have been tied at 2 in the middle of the sixth inning in game 5 of the 2008 World Series. You all know, the game 5 that I predicted the Phillies would win to end the thing. But, I digress.
